{Vegan} Eggnog Smoothie

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about my holiday editions of Smoothie of the Month!

Absolutely everything about the holiday season makes me dance with excitement and November 12 officially marks the start of the season for me.

Though its still too early for a real pine tree, its right on time to start sprinkling a little Christmas cheer here & there. I dug out my Michael Buble Christmas album and started a little Pinterest-inspired holiday crafting.

Yeah, we drink a little wine around here 😉

Though I LOVE Almond Fresh Noel Nog, it’s more of an evening treat for cozying up with a movie & a blanket. For November, I wanted to make a filling, nutritious, holiday inspired breakfast or snack to incorporate into your regular meal plans.

It’s nice to have a  quick, go-to smoothie during the busy holiday season. Not to mention, way more fun to drink something that gets you in the holiday mood while wrapping, shopping, or decorating!

I couldn’t believe how much this tasted like eggnog! I shared with my mom while she was visiting and she said she enjoyed it more than a glass of real eggnog, which she finds too rich. She also said it would be good with a shot of rum… but maybe not for breakfast 😉

{Vegan} Eggnog Smoothie

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 bananas
  • 1.5 tsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp cloves
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg + more to sprinkle on top

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Sprinkle with nutmeg (highly recommended for full flavour effect) and enjoy!

Are you an eggnog fan?

Have the holidays started for you yet?

    • Eggnog is one of those things you love or you hate but I bet you’ll like the smoothie 🙂 Don’t tell your hubby it’s an eggnog smoothie and see if he can guess the flavour!
